Stryker Engineering interns will get to: • Impact the development and manufacturing of cutting edge products • Gain experience within a fast paced and growing industry • Apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting • Implement new ideas, be constantly challenged, and develop your skills Opportunities available and What You Need The Robotic Systems Engineering Summer Intern will contribute to device designs to help bring new products to market. • Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness. • Designs, develops, executes testing to define of assess product specifications • Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce engineering drawings. • This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. • The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. • Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. • Prior experience with robotic or other electro-mechanical systems is preferred. • Proficiency with MATLAB or scripting languages required. • Data analysis and statistics experience with Minitab is preferred. • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm • Ability to exercise independent judgment • Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint • Proven leadership and business acumen skills • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills About Stryker Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
