Student Assistant -Planning & Adaptation

Job Description

This position will provide assistance to the specialists and biologists in the Planning and Adaptation Section with Threatened and Endangered Species Permitting and guidance, State Wildlife Action Plan Revision, and the Hunter Access Program as well as a wide variety of special projects, reports, and presentations, focusing on writing, data management, support, and outreach. The student will work closely with the Section staff in preparing reports; entering data; assisting with data analysis; and assisting with outreach and engagement efforts to promote the programs of the Planning and Adaptation Section. The student will provide support to Division staff through assisting with a variety of administrative duties. This position will involve working with other staff in the division and the department, with internal and external partners on various projects, as well as interacting with the public. The student may have other opportunities to participate in field-based activities.

This position is limited to 129 hours per month.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Current enrollment in high school, a vocational or technical school, or a post-secondary educational institution.
Experience
No specific amount or type is required.
