Student Information System (SIS) Consultant

ERPA provides ongoing functional, technical, and administrative support to customers, providing clients with real-time operational visibility along with the speed and agility to adapt to business growth and change.
Position Summary:
As a SIS Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation for our customers. As a member of our team, you will leverage your expertise to ramp up by participating and successfully completing the required curriculum.
ERPA is building a candidate bench for anticipated upcoming hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Become a product expert by successfully completing and passing any required tests to obtain necessary certification(s).
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the project leader
  • Execute the day-to-day implementation activities for clients including process design, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, package implementation lifecycle support, conversion, testing, and project reviews with customer(s)
  • Work with customers to help convert legacy data into the system
  • Assist the integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between the system and other third-party or custom solutions
  • Collaborate effectively with extended team members which include functional and technical resources
  • Ensure customers understand and adopt best practices
  • Partner with project managers to ensure alignment across project plans and allocated budgets
  • Strive to suggest new approaches and tools to deploy the program efficiently and effectively to ERPA as we build our team to become an exceptional leader in the industry
  • Maintain all required certifications and qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant SIS experience in higher education, preferably working as a functional consultant on a Student Information System (SIS) implementation
  • Substantial knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS)
  • Previous consulting experience within Higher Education (college/university)
  • Previous experience deploying Student solutions, such as: Workday, Ellucian Banner, Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, SAP or similar applications
  • Higher Education or Functional expertise in one of the following areas: Financial Aid, Student Financials, Recruiting & Admissions, and Student Records.
  • Strong organizational skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully completing/passing all required certification classes and exams. All certifications must remain in Active status throughout employment with ERPA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a detailed understanding of products, processes and best practices to make appropriate implementation recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a remote role, independently as well as part of a team
