This position primarily manages the operations of the Student Services Office, provides direction to student s seeking information about School of Education , and coordinates social media and other communication efforts to recruit and retain a diverse student population.

Office Management | Student Services Office - 5 0%
Ensures the Student Services Office (SSO) functions in a n inclusive, professional, and efficient mann er by
O verseeing SSO Front Desk and Dean's Office coverage including organizing student employee schedules to ensure high-quality customer service is provided to a diverse student population , visitors, and SOE employees
Covering the SSO front desk during gaps of student employee coverage
Ensuring p hone calls and emails are answered promptly and professionally
Ensuring m essaging in all formats is accessible, clear , and promotes student success by building upon the asse ts students bring to college
W ork ing with department chairs to collect, organize, and post SOE faculty office hours
E nsuring advising appointments are scheduled efficiently
A ssisting with scheduling professional advising appointments when needed
H ir ing student employees for SSO and Dean's Office in collaboration with Dean's Assistant and Operations Coordinator
S upervis ing , train ing , and evaluat ing all student employees in collaboration with Dean's Assistant and Operations Coordinator
E nsur ing all SSO materials are accessible based on current accessibility standards
En suring all SSO materials are aligned with our diversity, equity, and inclusion emphasis and SOE communication and branding standards
D evelop ing and maintain ing fluency in various computer applications
Pr oviding support to faculty and staff for basic office functions, such as printing troubleshooting, access to rooms
M aintaining an office environment that is inclusive and welcoming to all
Social Media and Communication Support - 35 %
Coordinates School of Education ( SOE ) marketing efforts and supports effective communication in cooperation with the SOE communication s lead by
Creat ing , manag ing , and execut ing all SOE social media posts to maintain a strong and consistent presence for the SOE with a focus on inclusivity and equity
Representing SOE on marketing and communication committees within the University
Creating and distributing student newsletters that appeal to a diverse student population
Ensuring all communications meet accessibility standards , are equity-focused and meet SOE communication standards
Assisting with the SOE internal and external website management to ensure content is current, accurate , and clearly communicates an emphasis on diversity, inclusivity, and equity in education
D esigning flyers and other graphic content intended for internal university distribution
Ad ditional communication tasks as needed
Student Advising and Retention Support - 15%
Supports student recruitment and retention efforts by
Assist ing with calling campaigns to retain current student s
Provid ing responses to basic advising questions to a diverse student population
Referring students to appropriate University resources
Assisting with teaching students to use University advising and registration tools
A ssisting with orientation and recruiting events
U sing University advising systems on a limited basis, such as Degree Progress Reports
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree or 2 years of g eneral office and customer service experience
E xperience using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
S trong written communication
Strong verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
At least 6 months of Higher Education work experience
E xperience with student information system such as Banner
Experience working both collaboratively and independently with little supervision

This position requires the candidate selected for hire to work on campus in person with the possibility of one remote day a week with approval from supervisor.
Salary for Announcement
The salary range for this position is $47,000 - $52,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, training, and qualifications.
