Studio Coordinator

The Studio Coordinator is a key holder and accountable for all front desk operations, including phone, retail sales, cash transactions, client POS activities, customer service standards, and general day to day operations.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for implementation of customer service standards for all internal and external customers. Goal is to exceed customer expectations from initial inquiry to on-going customer relationship management.
  • Responsible for recognizing and communicating with Studio Manager regarding areas for process improvement. Actively engage in implementation of ongoing process improvement including timely and accurate reporting of Incident Reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and professional environment including daily cleaning checklists and other cleaning duties as needed.
  • Accountable for efficient and effective day-to-day operations that achieve minimal front desk service standards. Will follow all policies and procedures to accomplish these standards. Includes: opening duties, greeting clients, answering phones, making appointments, retail sales, cash transactions, customer check-in/check-out, appointment confirmation calls, closing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned in the spirit of teamwork.
  • Follows safety standards in all aspects of performance of the above functions, reports/removes unsafe equipment and attends safety/training education sessions.

Equipment

Phone, computer and keyboard, printer, misc. office supplies, vacuum.

Additional Functions

  • Coverage of shifts in short-notice/emergency situations (sickness, etc.).
  • Customer contacts and rescheduling if needed.
  • Participate in defined community outreach requirements (volunteerism).

Role Scope and Complexity

The Studio Coordinator reports directly to Studio Manager and indirectly to all members of ownership and is accountable for all aspects of front desk operations. The Studio Coordinator is accountable for meeting established customer service standards focusing on both internal customer (staff, volunteers, interns, vendors) and external customer (current clients and all potential customers).

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Written and Verbal skills
  • Team player within team environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Multi-tasking
  • Detail-oriented

Preferred:

  • Front office experience
  • Salon industry experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.13 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
