Buyer/Cost Analyst ProcurementCompany Overview: Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. or “SIA”, located in Lafayette, Indiana, is the only Subaru vehicle manufacturing facility outside of Japan. SIA has grown tremendously since its 1989 beginnings and continues to be an example of success within... the automotive industry.Outline of Duties:This position is responsible for finding the most accurate cost to develop negotiation strategy, use effective negotiation strategy to influence a party to adjust their position based on the analysis to align with accurate costs and mutually beneficial interests. Responsible for supplier accounts with an average annual spend of $120 millionLeads in achieving company sourcing targetsGains industry knowledge of commodity group and automotive industry trendsCreates long-term sourcing strategy for commodity groupFacilitates new supplier vetting (including on-site and financial audits)Executes sourcing strategies through the sourcing decision making processReports and gains final approval up to executive level managementLeads company cost reduction activityCost structure and supply-chain analysisSupplier production process evaluation and improvement activitySupplier negotiationInitiates VA/VE activity through collaboration with design & quality engineersContract management activityEngineering change cost analysis and approval contract activityTactical support for supplier quality, delivery, development, packaging, AP/AR, and service partsAll other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field of studyPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years relevant experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field of studyUnderstanding of Purchasing and product development processProduction process background/knowledgeShow full descriptionCollapse
