What does our Internship Program offer?
Key’s Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program that provides meaningful work that matters, offers feedback and coaching, and creates engaging events and conversations that will spark excitement and interest in bringing one’s full-time career to Key post college.
Interns are involved in a host of line of business specific projects that directly impact and benefit Key’s business and strategic pillars. The program includes networking with Key teammates across all levels of the organization, a series of Learning Labs where internal and external speakers provide insight on Key’s competitive landscape, financial wellness, and professional development best practices, and an assigned mentor who shares knowledge, experience, and advice.
Key Human Resources
The mission of the KeyBank Human Resources team is to Make it Easy for Talent to Join, Work and Grow at Key. We fuel the success of Key by aligning HR priorities and talent with business goals. KeyBank’s Human Resources team is committed to supporting the bank and delivering on Key’s strategic priorities by engaging a high performing, talented, and diverse workforce. We are looking for analytical, collaborative individuals who are digitally fluent and comfortable working in a dynamic environment to join our Human Resources Internship Program.
About the Human Resources Internship Program
As an intern, you will work closely with managers and seasoned professionals within HR’s Centers of Excellence and with Line of Business Partners. You will support processes and projects that align with HR’s strategic priorities and have a direct impact on the business. You will receive regular guidance, coaching and feedback on your performance throughout the summer. This position will be located in the Cleveland, OH, area. Upon successful completion of the internship, consideration is given for a full-time employment.

Job Responsibilities

Interns will be assigned to a functional team and work for a skilled assignment manager.

Interns will be expected to contribute to project work and apply their work experience and education as well as their analytical and critical thinking skills to help solve business problems.

Collaboration and active engagement are critical for success.

There will be opportunities to meet with senior leaders in HR and teammates from various center of excellence function.

Interns will learn about the banking industry and gain business acumen via exposure to multiple functions of HR, networking and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

Graduating with a four-year degree by May 2025 with focused coursework in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or Psychology (coursework in statistics, analytics, and Human Resources preferred).

Ability to analyze data, communicate findings, and deliver evidence-based recommendations.

Outstanding academic achievement (minimum 3.3 GPA).

Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
-
Solid analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
-
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including pivot tables, formulas, conditional statements, and visualizations.

Candidates must be willing to work onsite in Cleveland.
Compensation and Benefits
This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $20 per hour. Compensation also includes a $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.
