Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Seasonal Retail Sales Lead to join our team in Tigard, OR. Sundance is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer with headquarters located in Salt Lake City, UT. Summary

The Retail Sales Lead partners with the store management team in driving store sales by persistent attention to detail in serving and selling goods to customers, while offering general support to the management team regarding visual merchandising, housekeeping, and store cleanliness. Above all, the Sales Lead is a “Team Player” with the best in mind for the customer, the company, and its shareholders. The Sales Lead provides support to the management team, sales associates, and customers by overseeing the flow of merchandise into and out of the store. Also, the Sales Lead is a member of the management team and is seen as a leader in the store, holding keys, and fulfilling essential management functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives sales by exhibiting a strong presence, demonstrating exceptional sales skills, and providing the customer with an exceptional experience 
  • Provides excellent customer service to customers by asking open-ended questions to customers, assessing their needs, and offering products that support or relate to their needs 
  • Tells the product story, features, and benefits of jewelry and merchandise
  • Listens to customers and uses their feedback to improve service levels 
  • Informs customers of our website and catalog, offering to put them on our mailing list
  • Consistently exceeds the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customer
  • Seeks product knowledge on new and core goods and openly shares information
  • Opens and closes store
  • Maintains visual integrity of store by participating with housekeeping, including regular cleaning and dusting
  • Replenishes merchandise as needed
  • Maintains a high level of awareness regarding loss prevention
  • Consistently adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Receives and places merchandise ensuring that all merchandise is correctly tagged
  • Assists with coaching and directing employees
  • Resolves employee and customer issues

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED required, Associates degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred
  • At least 6 months experience with a premium brand retailer
  • Experience in an environment where customer service is highly regarded
  • Computer literacy including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of all functions of the POS (point of sale), kiosk and iPad system

This position is expected to run through the beginning of January but is subject to change due to business needs.
