Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30AM (pass days Saturday/Sunday)

Duration: Contingent Permanent


Job Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

CONTINGENT PERMANENT:

  • Reachable score on the Supervising Janitor list; or
  • Have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Supervising Janitor, or in a title eligible for transfer to Supervising Janitor; or
  • Be a former state employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Supervising Janitor
  • May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment

PROVISIONAL PENDING EXAM

Minimum Qualifications Promotional:

  • Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive, non-competitive, labor, or 55-b/55-c service as a Janitor, Housekeeper, Supervising Housekeeper, or Facility Operations Assistant 2
  • Candidates must be eligible to take and pass the next available Supervising Janitor exam and obtain a reachable score for permanent appointment

Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive:

  • Candidates must have two years of satisfactory full-time experience in the custodial care or cleaning of buildings, offices, or institutional residences of which one year of the experience must have been at a supervisory level.
  • Candidates must be eligible to take and pass the next available Supervising Janitor exam and obtain a reachable score for permanent appointment

This position may be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment.
