Supply Chain / Logistics Co-ordinator

Our Client is one of the World leaders in the manufacture and Tier 1 supply of high-technology sensors, switches and electromechanical components for the Automotive sector. With a healthy order book, we are now actively supporting our Client in trying to find a bright and enthusiastic Supply Chain / Logistics Co-ordinator on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be the central point of contact between the Customer, Manufacturer and Logistics (Warehouse). Pro-actively planning and implementing supply and logistics, ensuring that the flow of data and materials between Customer and Manufacturer meets customer demands and in the process minimising cost to Company and maximising customer satisfaction.

The remuneration package on offer for this position is in the region of £26K pa and will be based upon your relevant experiences; in all cases including a comprehensive benefits package, to include additional Bonus and Hybrid Working pattern Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, your role and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Planning of supply & logistics to meet customer schedules.
  • Ordering of goods from production sites in time to meet customer requirements.
  • Control of inventory levels at local location and monitoring of consignment stocks.
  • Control of deliveries to the customer according to customer’s delivery calls.
  • Contingency planning & escalation of potential supply shortfalls to management.

Qualifications and Experience ideally required:

  • Should ideally be qualified to HNC level, better still a Degree in a relevant discipline, but plenty of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • You will be an experienced Supply Chain / Logistics Co-ordinator and have Planning experience.
  • You will ideally have previously worked in the Automotive industry or an aligned industry sector, although this isn’t absolutely essential.
  • You should have experience in Production Scheduling and Supply.
  • You will need to be experienced in Customer relationship maintenance.
  • You will have a good general Supply and Logistics background.
  • You will need to be mindful of appropriate quality standards.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are needed, to include MS Excel.
  • Any experience in using SAP would be useful, although isn’t essential.
