Job Highlights

The Supply Chain Manager is accountable for daily planning functions for packaging, loading and unloading raw materials and finished good and to ensure the operating success of the Charleston manufacturing operation at site. Responsible for reporting and communicating key metrics and statuses across various levels of the organization and external business partners ( i.e.. Materials in transport, contingency planning and communication, procurement of packaging supplies and services). Ensure site shipping and receiving processes meet legal and safety requirements.

  • Manages and plans for inventory of raw materials and finished goods
  • Analyzes failures/deviations of process parameters together with engineers, operation specialists
  • Ensures documents are produced, reviewed and filed to support shipping and receiving functions. Ensures accuracy in scheduling rail and truck transport.
  • Provides leadership and direction to a team of six warehouse and logistics professionals
  • Prepares reports and data in accordance with business requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or comparable with proven operations experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills to manage multiple tasks, conflicting priorities, and upcoming deadlines
  • Experience with SAP with the ability to troubleshoot and become a power user
  • Self-directive and able to communicate across differing levels of the organization and 3rd party external business partners
