MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.
Responsible for managing unique cost processes, creating and delivering required reports, performing detailed analysis on any aspect of the supply chain as requested, and researching data trends. These activities include coordinating a wide range of accounting and analytical-related functions in support of the procurement of MRC’s goods and services to ensure cost accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)

- Utilize accounting, auditing, and investigative skills to conduct an examination into special vendor cost programs and customer agreements, to ensure supplier compliance with current agreements.
- Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, annually and ad-hoc) as required;
- Handle confidential information related to vendor costs, operating statements and other financial information vital to MRC;
- Provide analytical and administrative support to initiatives in order to communicate insights, decisions and progress to management;
- Possess working knowledge of and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and policies;
- Analyze and problem solve using strong reasoning skills to interpret complex data;
- Utilize strong time management and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and inquiries;
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all data and records;
- Contribute by learning new procedures and functions within the department as needed;
- Perform other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job;

Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;
- High level of proficiency and accuracy in MS Office products, including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Attention to detail and good decision making skills and the willingness to exercise them;
- Self-motivated, strong organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in the review and entry of data;
- Ability to work overtime as needed;
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability to meet the MRC vehicle policy.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status. Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries. Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
