Supply Chain Specialist

Cepton (Nasdaq: CPTN), a leading intelligent lidar solution provider, is seeking a decent and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist who is passionate about solving challenges to join us. Working closely with our Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development and partnering closely with our brilliant operation and R&D teams, you will manage semiconductor and electro-optical assembly suppliers and be responsible for our overall strategic sourcing of critical components and assemblies.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with the functional teams, and manage supply chain projects and operation projects as assigned.
  • Partner closely with the functional teams, assess materials that we need for our operations, and build and adjust sourcing strategies based on the changes and business needs.
  • Ensure supply availability and supply continuity for critical components over the product lifecycle, and resolve critical supply issues on time.
  • Source suppliers that can meet our business needs globally, and establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and potential suppliers.
  • Initiate requests from proposals/quotations (RFP’s/RFQ’s), negotiate and secure the best contract on behalf of the company.
  • Working closely with the R&D departments and Manufacturing department on the new product development serves as a bridge between external suppliers and internal teams to address the issues as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Has a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines. A master’s degree in related disciplines is a plus.
  • Has a good understanding of different semiconductor technologies and suppliers and is sensitive to market trends.
  • Has seasoned experience in handling supply chain projects related to sensors or 2D/3D imaging products. Has related experience in the automotive and/or semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Has strong analytical skills and is data-driven. Able to do financial analysis as needed to support the teams in making confident decisions.
  • Ability to use Japanese and English as working languages is a MUST. Able to travel overseas based on business requirements. Being able to use Chinese as the working language will be a big plus but not required.
  • A good and reliable team player with strong communication and writing skills. Self-motivated, continually striving for excellence, and can thrive under pressure.

Location:

  • Cepton Headquarters – San Jose, CA.
  • Some local on-site visits to key customers.
  • Travel to regional customer sites and to support trade shows & conferences (estimated 25%).
Cepton is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
