We are looking for a Supply Chain Tech I to join our Logistics team at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center off of I-84 and Curtis Rd. This individual is accountable for the replenishment, issue, pick, distribution, storage and return of supplies and equipment. They are also responsible for stocking linen and supplies in nurse servers on units and delivering accurate and exceptional customer service to stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Requires 6-12 months previous experience in any one, or combination of the following: Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Material handling, Customer Service, Inventory Control or other comparable service line.
Essential Functions:

Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Proficient in written and verbal English language.

Requires the knowledge and use of arithmetic including fractions and decimals.

Requires the use of Supply Chain technology solutions (e.g. bar code scanners, automated supply cabinets, and other expandable wireless products).

Requires the checking of reports, records and related data.
-
Good communication and customer service skills.
-
Knowledge of hospital supplies, equipment and medical terminology preferred, but not necessary.

Performs count, picks orders, issues/distributes, delivers (and returns excess) supplies and equipment within Saint Alphonsus.

Differentiates and fills STAT, ASAP and Routine supply requests as soon as received and delivers to requesting departments (Boise).

Checks/Scans PARs/2 bin locations and restocks bins when orders come in the following day (LUM sites).
- Checks and fills specialty carts and boxes in a timely manner.

Stages supply requests for fulfillment based on urgency of request (Boise).

Pulls from bulk inventory, or from Totes from Boise Storeroom, items necessary to restock.

Restocks shelves ensuring that inventory is correctly labeled, protecting the integrity of sterile supplies.

Rotates stock in accordance with "FIFO" First-in, First-out protocol. Notifies supervisor of any shortages of supplies.

Generates charge labels and attaches them to chargeable supplies.

Organizes and files completed requisitions, pick tickets and other reports, records or related data.

Organizes and straightens inventory/ PAR-2 bin storage locations, breaks down and discards boxes; maintains the work area(s) in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Checks for and pulls opened, damaged, expired and/or excess inventory and replaces unusable, damaged or dirty boxes/packaging, labels etc.

Handles defective, damaged and/or expired inventory in accordance with established departmental policy.

Assists in the preparation, packaging, shipment and complete documentation of supplies and/or equipment for vendor returns.

Participates in taking physical inventories and/or cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory control. (Boise)

Must maintain technical competencies of Inventory Management system as software is upgraded or new systems are installed to replace existing system.
