The Supply Planner reports to the Area Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for finite scheduling, procurement of packaging components and ingredients to align with the finite production schedule for all manufacturing resources at the Wisconsin Rapids Ocean Spray Manufacturing facility.

Procures materials in adherence to OSC contracts.

Act liaison between plant and suppliers for packaging component and ingredient quality and/or performance issues.

Supports Plant team in managing changes to the production schedule.

Manages packaging component and ingredient inventory to meet JIT schedule and warehouse space limitations.

Define daily delivery schedule to align with production schedule and capabilities utilizing establish aligned plant capacities such as rates and calendars.

Works with plant staff to ensure planning system constraints are accurate and timely.

Coordinate the plant scheduling process to optimize the operation (changeovers, sequencing, sanitation, performance).

Identify material and planning conflicts that could result in compromised production runs and communicate immediately to the Operations team.

Manage materials to include the disposition process for obsolete materials, new product introductions, inventory turn targets, Days on Hand KPI, warehouse capacity analysis, material storage optimizations, FIFO, etc.

Attend daily scheduling/operations meetings.

Provide leadership to resources in inventory management, specifically material cycle counting and physical inventory planning.

Act as back up for Inventory Control Coordinator and Supply Planner counterpart

Expectation for cross functional work with counterparts at our Tomah plant, as well as experience in working with different levels of the organization (corp, external supplier relationships and other plants as applicable).

Ensure planning objectives are accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner according to specification.
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
-
5 Years’ experience in manufacturing or plant supply chain.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-
Understanding of inventory strategies.
-
Computer skills (MS Office).
-
ERP System (SAP).
-
Warehouse Management System (Red Prairie).
