Communication is key as the Surgery Scheduler: you will be interacting with patients to schedule office procedures (both inpatient and outpatient), follow up appointments, and any testing required by the doctor. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure all patient demographics are correct, insurance is verified prior to procedures as well as pre-certifications are acquired. You will also use your keen attention to detail to review necessary medical preps for day of surgery, as well as discuss follow-up with the patients.

Position: Surgery Scheduler
Shift Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8:30am to 4:30pm - Monday through Friday

Experience:
1. Three years of experience in a specialty physician's office with strong knowledge of managed care payors required.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures preferred.
Scheduling experience is preferred.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensures/Certifications:
N/A
