Assistant General Counsel (East Coast US - Remote)

Department: LegalReports to: General CounselResponsibilities:  • Serve as a primary lawyer to review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, such as master services agreements, data processing agreements, independent contractor agreements, licensing and vendor agreements and other contracts.• Analyze contractual requirements and legal terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.• Foster compliance with Suvoda’s internal policies and legal and regulatory requirements.• Identify legal and contractual risks and creatively problem solve.• Advise internal sales, compliance, financial, and operations personnel on daily questions and long-term projects.• Work with compliance and security teams to manage third party vendor risk management process.• Implement scalable contracting processes.• Perform other related duties as required.Requirements: • At least 5 years' experience in a law firm, in-house legal department or equivalent setting .• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school required.• Member in good standing of the PA bar.• Exceptional organizational, analytical and drafting skills with great attention to detail.• Strong team player with a positive attitude and desire to work collectively to achieve team and company goals.• Ability to work and think independently, possessing sound, creative problem-solving skills.• Responsive, client-service focused and professional.• Willingly accepts additional responsibility, challenging tasks, and/or projects and able to flexibly juggle multiple priorities.• Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.• High achieving, exploratory nature.• Desire to learn and grow.• Strong work ethic and sense of ownership and proactivity.• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
