With the authority to make procurement decisions up to $50,000, you'll ensure the best evaluated total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and schedule compliance. You'll work independently, managing contracts, determining inventory parameters, conducting negotiations, performing market analyses, and driving continuous improvement in collaboration with suppliers and customers. Key Responsibilities • Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process from need specification through contract administration. • Strategic Sourcing: Evaluate supply sources and develop optimal pricing and warranty strategies using methods like alliances, auctions, and master service agreements. • Negotiations and Disputes: Coordinate with Category Managers to conduct negotiations and develop positions on claims, resolving disputes with senior Sourcing management. • Supplier Relationships: Identify new supply sources, establish and maintain professional, ethical relationships with suppliers and partners. • Continuous Improvement: Drive productivity improvements with suppliers and customers. Basic Qualifications • Experience: 2-4 years in supply chain elements such as buying, logistics, inventory replenishment, master catalog maintenance, MRP, DRP, etc. • Education: Bachelor’s degree OR high school diploma with 5-7 years of equivalent work experience. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in instant messaging (MS Teams), project management, video/web conferencing (Zoom & MS Teams), and document sharing tools (MS OneDrive and Teams). Preferred Qualifications • Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases. • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-assessment and problem-solving skills. • Customer Service: Strong focus on customer service with the ability to build credibility with internal clients and external suppliers.
