We're seeking an exceptional backend engineer to architect and build the core systems powering our AI-first sales platform. As a key technical leader, you'll shape the foundation of our seller co-pilot system, working at the intersection of large-scale backend architecture and AI infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to own mission-critical systems that are transforming how B2B sales teams operate.
Design and implement scalable, production-grade backend services that power our AI co-pilot features using Python/Go
Architect simple and elegant event-driven systems leveraging AWS services to handle real-time AI processing and sales workflow automation
Build robust data pipelines and APIs that handle real-time AI processing and sales workflow automation
Drive technical strategy for major initiatives that unlock new AI capabilities for our users
Design and implement core infrastructure components that other engineers will build upon
Set technical standards and best practices for backend development
Mentor other engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture
Use modern developer tools like Cursor and CoPilot to maximize engineering productivity
Deep expertise in building production-grade backend systems with Python/Go, with strong experience in designing distributed event-driven systems
Adept at product-first thinking and rapidly translating product capability requirements into robust backend systems
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, cloud-native development, and service-oriented architecture
Demonstrated history of delivering high-impact engineering solutions that drive significant business results within tight deadlines
Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of defining technical paths for projects with well-defined outcomes
Bias for action and ability to move fast while maintaining high-quality standards
A strong communicator able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in senior/staff roles architecting backend systems
Expert-level proficiency in Python/Go, with prior experience building production-grade distributed systems leveraging generative AI
Strong track record designing and optimizing systems using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis at scale
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science or related fields strongly preferred
Proven track record of delivering multiple complex backend systems or features as an individual contributor.
Proven ability to architect elegantly simple yet highly scalable systems, anticipating evolving requirements in dynamic environments
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization technologies, with a focus on rapid deployment and scaling
Exposure to or experience with B2B products is highly preferred.
A proven track record of thriving in early-stage startup environments, showing resilience and flexibility in the face of uncertainty.
Competitive compensation: $200,000 - $240,000 + full health/vision/dental insurance + equity in a rapidly growing startup
