Laboratory Associate I

We are searching for motivated, enthusiastic, and hands-on individuals interested in advancing science through the manufacturing of our CRISPR products. As a Lab Associate at Synthego, you will join our growing operations team and have direct responsibility for the synthesis and purification of our gRNA products in the Research Use Only factory and GMP factory. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a desire to learn and adapt to new processes, and familiarity with safe laboratory practices. This role will combine hands-on laboratory protocols with advanced automation to ensure the timely delivery of high quality products to our customers.


Swing shift: Monday through Friday; 2:30 PM to 11 PM


What You'll Do:
  • Supports daily laboratory operations by following standard operating procedures and departmental protocols to set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Monitors lab work to ensure compliance with set laboratory and organization standards
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of laboratory products and supplies
  • Coordinate, perform, troubleshoot, and document laboratory instrumentation events, communicating updates to the broader team.
  • Synthesize oligonucleotides by following established SOPs
  • Operate complex automated robotic systems to manage liquid products through a highly automated workflow 
  • Purification of Oligonucleotides
  • Tubing and plating of guide work orders


About You:
  • AA in Chemistry, Biotech Certification, or relevant work experience
  • 0-1 year of industry experience within the manufacturing/production environment
  • Self-motivated individual with attention to detail
  • Excited to work in a dynamic start-up environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to multitask and prioritize work effectively


Nice to Have:
  • Strong knowledge of Oligonucleotide production 
  • Experience with LIMS, lab management
  • Experience with Google Suite

$27 - $29 an hour
Pay rate will be determined based on experience.
