Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join the Technology team on a full-time, permanent basis, reporting into the Program Manager.

As the Senior Project Manager you will be required to lead and coordinate a team of project managers to ensure that their respective projects are delivered on time and within budget. The projects in scope include data migration, data warehousing, reporting & analytics. This involves managing the expansive scopes of multiple data teams, creating long & short-term plans, organising, and coordinating resources to achieve project objectives within defined constraints of time, cost, and quality.

The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate effective decisions and ensure successful project delivery. The role is responsible to oversee the delivery of Sysco Europe’s technology data projects, while playing an instrumental role in the D365 ERP transformation project across Europe.  

This role is offering a home-based contract that will require travel commitment to our depots and as such a good degree of self-motivation and flexibility is required.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive cross-team project plans, partnering with all stakeholders and dependent projects. 
  • Build, lead, and motivate high-performing teams. 
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels – within business and technology, and drive meetings with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability, whilst researching cost-effective alternatives to enhance cost efficiency without comprising on quality. 
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. 
  • Manage issues and dependencies accordingly. 
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to governance requirements. 
  • Manage changes to project scope, timeline, and budget. 
  • Provide regular project status updates and analyse performance. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices. 
  • Mentor and coach the team of project managers and team members. 
  • Own and lead the development and delivery of business cases and presentations for business case approvals and status updates. 

 About you:

As a Senior Project Manager you will have end to end IT Project Management experience in the delivery of complex technical projects in a fast paced/time critical environment. To be successful in this role you will have change management experience, coupled with experience of deploying technologies across multiple sites and projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies. You will also have a detailed understanding of business processes, stakeholder management and management of multiple 3rd party system integrators. It’s essential to have strong presentation and communication skills for this role so a good understanding of Microsoft Office suite and Atlassian product suite (Confluence and Jira) is needed. You will also negotiate and build consensus whilst influencing team members and have a knowledge of functional areas of production, warehouse, merchandising and finance.
