In order to ensure profitable growth, DSMs must cultivate a culture of high performance and provide coaching and development opportunities to their teamRESPONSIBILITIES OF Territory Sales Manager:• Supervises the progress and growth of Sales Consultants (MAs) in the geographic area.• Performs individualized coaching and guidance sessions by conducting an average of 3-5 SC consultations every week.• Conduct district meetings every Friday with the goal of inspiring and educating the team to create behavior shifts towards driving sales.• Facilitate better engagement with Sysco customers by equipping district SC to offer a host of service channels such as innovative technologies, value-added offerings, and collaborative selling• Developing a mindset of constant progress regarding technology, sales techniques, soft skills and product knowledge is essential• Utilizes all available Sales Support resources and tools to effectively maximize the consultative time of the SC• The optimal utilization of our CRM is integral to effectively managing sales planning, prospecting, and daily customer interactions at SC. Productive usage of Sysco 360 by all SC employees is expected.• Delivers Brand Results and Manages Conversion Opportunities in the District.• Endorses and fosters all national initiatives and marketing efforts• It is the responsibility of the individual in this position to train, coach, and offer prompt feedback to boost the development of consultative selling skills of sales associates (The Sysco Way to Sell).• Maximizes the potential of the CMP and QPP Procedures in guiding the development of sales team members across the district.• In charge of implementing and overseeing the planning and management of a designated area• Places emphasis on fostering individual connections with key clients and valuable leads.• Advocates for initiatives of the company and executes district-wide strategies managed by the center.• In addition to sales management, there are other operational tasks and the management of customer relationships that must be considered.QUALIFICATIONS OF Territory Sales Manager:• Completion of secondary education is mandatory.• A relevant industry experience or completion of a degree in a related field (such as business administration) is required.• Possesses at least 24 months of proven track record in generating profitable sales in the foodservice sector.• Experience working in foodservice sales for a minimum of 5 years is highly recommended.Professional Skills of Territory Sales Manager:• Impressive communication abilities and proficiency in collaborating with diverse groups of individuals.• Employing questioning techniques and engaging in collaborative problem-solving can lead to gaining valuable insights from others.• Excellent aptitude in organization and management of projects, with capacity to independently carry out multiple endeavors.• Capable of excelling in a high-speed work setting.• Utilize Sysco's CRM tool to forecast and strategize sales growth more effectively.• Proficiently exhibits expertise in consultative sales, marketing tactics, lead generation, relationship building, mentoring, and bargaining.• Provide efficient coaching, counseling, training, and guidance to team members.• Skilled in leading and inspiring team members.• Compose professional business correspondence for successful communication with clients and partners.• Attain profitable business development, infiltrate current accounts, and decrease the amount of lost business in order to meet specific goals and increase sales growth in assigned area.• The objective is to identify and evaluate potential clients based on their appropriateness for different company account categorizations.• Conducting an investigation into the requirements of a customer's business and devising a range of products and services to fulfill those needs.• Evaluate the current market trends and provide recommendations to customers, taking into consideration the specific business needs and goals.• Stay up-to-date with market circumstances, innovative products, and rival companies' offerings, costs, and revenue; communicate relevant data to customers as a part of the additional benefits provided.• Respond to inquiries from customers regarding the availability, pricing, and functionality of products.• Educate customer staff on the features and benefits of the product, ensuring they understand how it works and how it can best meet their business needs.• Take charge of the communication and gathering of accounts receivable when required, collaborating with the credit department and customers.
