As a System Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all aspects of technology equipment inventory management, network infrastructure, software products, security, and technology support for our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of technical tasks and leadership responsibilities, ensuring seamless technology operations across the company. Your expertise will be essential in onboarding new team members, maintaining existing systems, and setting up new office technologies. Additionally, you will be the go-to person for resolving technology-related issues and fulfilling the technology needs of all department heads.
Responsibilities:
1. Technology Equipment Inventory Management: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all technology assets, including hardware, software, and peripherals. Track asset lifecycle, manage procurement, and ensure efficient utilization and disposal when necessary.
2. Onboarding New Team Members: Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new employees from a technology perspective. Set up workstations, provide necessary software and hardware, and ensure all required access permissions are granted.
3. Maintenance and Network Management: Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Ensure network security, stability, and optimal performance.
4. Internal Software Products: Manage all internal software solutions and tools. Coordinate upgrades, patches, and bug fixes to ensure that all systems are up to date and functioning correctly.
5. Team Member Support: Provide responsive and efficient technical support to all team members, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues including outside of regular work hours. Offer guidance and training to enhance the technology proficiency of staff.
6. Security: Implement and enforce robust security measures to safeguard company data, networks, and systems. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and proactively identify potential vulnerabilities.
7. New Office Technology Set Up and Needs: Lead the setup of technology infrastructure and systems in new offices or expansion locations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
8. Supporting Department Heads: Work closely with department heads to understand their technology requirements and challenges. Offer tailored solutions and ensure technology aligns with their specific needs.
9. Technology Advancement: The primary role of this position is to carry out the tasks of the technology strategy, and this team member will have the opportunity to impact the organization by communicating their recommendations for improvement to the Sr. Director of Product.
10. Vendor Management: Liaise with technology vendors, and ensure timely delivery of products and services. Evaluate vendor performance and maintain positive relationships.
11. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning: Collaborate with relevant teams to establish and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions in case of technology failures or unforeseen events.
