Position Summary

The role of System Administrator I reports to the Technology Services Manager. This position is responsible for providing system support including maintenance, patching, and upgrades across various applications and hardware. This position operates within a technology team tasked with monitoring, upgrading, and maintaining the enterprise infrastructure environment.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects and demands
  • Gather, summarize, and present technical findings to appropriate stakeholders
  • Support application and system deployments and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and remediate system, security, network, and hardware issues
  • Perform proactive and preventive maintenance and monitoring across various systems
  • Provide necessary support for endpoint management and maintenance
  • Support various operation systems used throughout the organization
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • Licensure and Certifications: Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, ISACA certifications, preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years’ experience in a previous experience in a system administrator, technical enterprise IT, or similar role will be considered in lieu of degree.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of the time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will spend 20% of the time walking and/or standing while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will require travel between Washington Regional campuses.
