Position Summary:

We’re looking for an energetic, customer focused, results oriented System Admin to drive the support of Direct Supply’s infrastructure, including compute, storage, network, AD, Exchange and Cloud computing.
In the System Administrator position, you’ll leverage your knowledge of technology systems to troubleshoot, resolve problems, and make improvements across the Direct Supply environment. We’re looking for a team member who has broad familiarity with a variety of the infrastructure concepts, practices, procedures and products. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude, adaptability, and excitement to learn and stretch across our platform systems.   • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. (e.g. switch or router equipment, UPS batteries, etc.) unassisted using safe moving or lifting techniques; ability to climb ladder to access network closets
What You’ll Do and Impact:
  • Utilize tools, data and software to understand and resolve platform support issues escalated internally from the Client Support team.
  • Recommend improvements to platform operations to drive reliability, health monitoring and capacity management.
  • Create and maintain support and self-help documentation.
  • Monitor and support the operational and administrative management of server and network platforms.
  • Collaborate with Internal Client Support, Internal Client Engineering, and Platform teams to deliver on support initiatives with a high degree of quality.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in IT or equivalent experience
  • 2-4+ years experience supporting the following systems: Exchange administration, SSO, MFA, Azure AD and conditional access, DNS, DHCP, Windows and Linux Server OS, and/or network administration.
  • Experience with automation tooling including Terraform and Powershell/Python.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, after hours maintenance and occasional weekend support work.
  • Requires reliable transportation to travel between campuses (North Milwaukee to Downtown Milwaukee) as needed to provide support.
Additional Items of Interest:
  • Experience supporting Azure administration and familiarity with AWS services and console.
  • Experience with O365 and Sharepoint administration.
  • Experience with database technologies: DataBricks, SQL, etc.
  • Experience with build automation tooling: Gitlab, Git, CI/CD etc
  • Experience supporting wireless technologies.
