Systems Engineer

Job Description
ENSCO Avionics, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to work in powered propulsion. This includes hybrid and all electric propulsion in heavy-duty vehicle, commercial, transit buses, maritime vessels and military vehicles. The job would involve developing system architectures and requirements, test plans and documentation of test results. This is a true hands-on experience where you’ll be doing hardware and software system level integration and verification both in the lab and on vehicle.
This opportunity will expand your knowledge in the design, development and production following of high-power electronics systems. You will be working with and learning from some of the brightest senior engineers to develop solutions to engineering challenges as these 3rd generation systems are introduced across the globe.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

• BSEE degree, with minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience with Commercial/Military systems engineering process
• Experience in vehicle or electronic control related development including familiarity with SAE J1939 interfaces and CAN communication
• Experience in full lifecycle systems development including requirements, design, integration, verification and test.
• Verbal/written technical writing skills
• Experience in integration and verification testing of both electrical/mechanical equipment and software
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualifications Desired

• Experience on hybrid or all-electric vehicles
• Configuration management tools experience such as Synergy or Git
• Requirement management tools experience such as DOORS
• Working knowledge of MATLAB SimuLink
• Ability to lead working groups or program teams
