Systems Verification Engineer


IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY


Systems Verification engineering position with responsibility to manage subsystems and systems functionality verification activities targeted to launching electronic systems into production for our customers. As a Systems Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting systems verification activities on a high abstraction layer, from concept to production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Analyze electromechanical systems requirements and decompose into logical segments in preparation of test cases design.
  • Manage resolution of architecture issues. Enforce design commonality (as practical) across concepts in close cooperation with Lead Systems Engineer.
  • Develop complete system architecture in coordination with the HW, SW and ME design teams.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive test strategy for each project, in accordance with ASPICE.
  • Create and maintain system functional test cases using Gentherm tools based on the assigned System Level requirements. Maintain test cases according to changing requirements.
  • Support development of (Vector HIL) VT system wiring diagrams and automated Test Scripts using Gentherm approved Tools.
  • Support assigned project software level test cases automation activities using CAN tools and support in-vehicle & breadboard activities when required.
  • Develop system level integration test plans in QM, lead execution of manual/automated test cases using Gentherm tools.
  • Assist in preparation of technical documentation, using Gentherm or industry specific tools generate test reports as needed for every assigned software release upon completion of test cases execution.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of experience with CANoe/CANalyzer/CANape to create test panels and test automation scripts using CAPL.
  • 2+ years of experience with requirements management, verification, issues/ tasks reporting and resolution with tools such as IBM JAZZ or PTC Integrity.
  • Experience with bus analyzers (ex. CAN/LIN/I2C) and traffic analysis.
  • Demonstrated competence in the development of electrical and /or electromechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of automotive specifications for electromechanical systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, including planning, prioritization, decision making, problem solving, and project management.
  • Support preparing complex written reports, automation wiring diagrams and other documents.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Familiarity with Model based development including Autocode, Matlab, Simulink.

TRAVEL: The employee may be required to travel to various domestic and international locations to conduct business on behalf of the company up to 10% of time.
