Narrative Designer

Do you love writing interactive narrative stories for mobile audiences?

Series AI is seeking a talented Narrative Designer who will help concept, write, script & implement story content for our upcoming story releases. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of interactive narrative space & mobile games, strong communication skills, and a passion for creating high-quality stories, mobile games, and interactive experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Head of Story and the story team to author outlines & scripts that bring our vision to life

• Review and provide feedback on scripts, character designs, and storyboards.

• Ensure story consistency and a high level of quality in all released content.

• Implement scenes in our proprietary creation suite, and gather feedback and iteratively improve them.

• Identify opportunities with our creative & writing tools to better enhance your workflow; work with producers to bring those requests to life.

• Be the bridge between production & our story team to educate writers on how to best use our creation tools.

• Design & oversee game systems in a narrative-minded paradigm.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a narrative designer or equivalent role, with a strong portfolio of work.

• Proficient in interactive story development tools and techniques.

• Strong collaboration skills & ability to self-manage when we need to divide & conquer.

• Strong interest in scripting languages to build narrative-driven experiences.

• Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field is a plus.

• Experience in mobile game design is a plus.

• Experience with Unity is a plus.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the mobile gaming market and the standout aspects of successful interactive stories is a plus.

• Interest in generative AI is a plus.

This is a full-time position, and the Narrative Designer will work collaboratively with our design, art, and production teams to deliver world-class games and interactive experiences.
