As a Business Product Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of products that meet the needs of both our business and our customers. You'll work closely with the DD&T Product Owner and cross-functional teams, such as product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to guide the product vision and strategy from inception to release. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions.Responsibilities:Product Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and roadmap aligned with business objectives. Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions.Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, prioritize, and document business requirements. Translate business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, designers, and QA to ensure alignment and successful execution of the product roadmap. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and creativity.Prioritization and Planning: Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact. Develop and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is groomed, prioritized, and refined regularly.Product Delivery: Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint review meetings. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet business requirements and customer expectations.Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the product development team. Provide regular updates on project status, gather feedback, and manage expectations effectively.Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure that delivered features meet quality standards and business requirements.Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate on product features to drive continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the product domain.Other duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum 5 years of Laboratory experience with bachelor’s degree or 10 years of Laboratory experience.Prior experience as a Business Product Owner or similar role in a software development environment is a plus.Understanding of Agile methodologies and principles. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification is a plus.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.For Location:USA - AL - HooverU.S. Base Salary Range:$108,500.00 - $170,500.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives.
