Talent Acquisition Specialist

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Talent Acquisition Specialist facilitates the full cycle recruiting process for all open positions. They consult with hiring managers and HR on position requirements, staffing plans, sourcing strategies, and candidate selection. They build a strong talent pipeline for hard to fill roles and executes scalable recruiting strategies to attract high caliber candidates. This is an onsite, in person position.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Talent Acquistion Specialist:

  • Partner with Human Resources team and hiring managers to understand roles that need to be filled and their requirements. Support a variety of roles that include, but are not limited to, engineering, production, and other technical roles
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies and utilize creative methods to source hard-to-fill positions. Maintain database of potential passive and active candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR to create effective job descriptions and hiring guidelines
  • Build and maintain relationships with third party vendors to support hiring needs as needed
  • Initiate contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings and communicate with applicants throughout the recruiting process
  • Schedule and coordinate onsite interviews for candidates with interview team, including managing candidate travel
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms
  • Manage applicant tracking, background screening, and drug screening processes
  • Plan, coordinate and attend job fairs, network with targeted schools, and various community groups
  • Promote company values and culture through candidate experience
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations, as well as company culture

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.
  • Three or more years’ experience within recruiting or agency environment, ideally with specific experience with technical or engineering recruiting background preferred
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices preferred
  • Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities using strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced, demanding, high growth, yet collaborative environment – requires a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using social media, including Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Aptitude for computer systems, including proficiency with MS Office products
  • Requires travel to attend job fairs and develop sourcing network
  • Work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work well both independently, in a group, and with a diverse array of management and communication styles
  • Must be able to always maintain confidentiality

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Wage range for this role is between $66,000 - $86,000 annually plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
