The Talent Acquisition / Student Employment Assistant provides general administrative support for the activities of the Human Resources Talent and Student Employment team. This position reports to the Director of Talent and Employee Experience
Job Duties:
Serves as an initial point of contact for talent acquisition/student employment by greeting and assisting visitors; helping with outreach/inquiries to candidates in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
Assists with new position postings and reports including: term reports, employee referrals, Pageup integrations, system updates/approvals, contingent workers, employment verifications, and other employment related matters.
Assists with background screening correspondence, follow up and electronic document storage.
Provides onboarding and orientation support for student employment and processes/ tracks I-9 compliance for all faculty, staff and student employees
Assists with electronic filing, photocopying, faxing, calendaring and other projects/initiatives as necessary.
Supports and contributes to the University's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Support and promote the University's sustainability efforts to protect, maintain and increase the long-term viability and resilience of the University's environmental, social, and economic support systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines while balancing daily tasks and responsibilities.
Experience in Google and MS Office applications
Ability to collaborate, influence and establish trust with campus partners. Previous experience building relationships and working with sensitive and confidential information.
Strong organizational skills; evidence of self-motivation; demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and work both independently and in teams within a service-oriented organization.
Proven success in a fast-paced, public setting, with the ability to be flexible, to make independent judgements in answering or referring questions, and in dealing with a broad spectrum of individuals, while ensuring a strict code of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Human Resources office experience including Human Resources related software to effectively gather, interpret, organize, and present data and information.
Bachelor's degree
Physical Demands:
Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment which may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves daily operation of personal computer equipment and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
Work Type:
This is a part-time, year round, non-benefits eligible position. Scheduled to work up to 25 hours per week.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
Salary Range:
This is a Staff Non-exempt position with a hiring range of $15.09-18.86 (NE06). The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
