The Talent Coordinator plays an integral role in the full life cycle of human resources administration. This
role is responsible for the overall support and coordination of HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of Talent in the following main areas: Hiring process, employee support, benefits administration, and other aspects of people operations. A successful Talent Coordinator will have the ability to effectively manage their time and work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.

Hiring Process (30%): Review and process of documents and role-related clearances, maintaining I-9 forms and records, and processing of new employee background checks, benefit enrollments, LEAP account creation and entering new hires into HRIS and employee related databases.

Employee Support (25%): Address employee requests and questions around payroll, account access issues, changes to direct deposit, address and contact information, and employment verifications.

Benefits Administration (10%): Administers health, dental and other benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Reconciles benefits statement invoices for payment.

HR Operations (10%): Ensure employee files are created and properly shared and maintained. Respond to external inquiries of in-process background checks and employment verifications.

HRIS (10%): Maintain and update employee information. Ensure data accuracy of databases.

Payroll: Receives and reviews retroactive payment requests for payroll processing. Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other payroll reports and recommends corrective action.

Offboarding (5%): Support employee terminations process which includes documentation, account deactivations, directory updates, and coordination of LEAP property retrieval. Liaises with supervisor and Talent Acquisition Manager on succession recruitment.

Recruitment (5%): Assists in recruitment and interview process. Supports candidates in the hiring process by completing reference verifications. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Talent Acquisition Manager.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Associates/Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience

At least two years related experience required

Experience with DYCD, DOE, DOH, OCFS regulatory agencies preferred, but not required

Passion for inclusion and advocacy in the arts

Clear and confident writer able to communicate results so that they are actionable

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with a diverse group of individuals

A self-starter; someone who is highly effective working independently and within a team

Excellent project and process management skills, writing skills, and attention to detail

Proficiency with the complete Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms)

Knowledge and experience using ADP, Salesforce

SHRM-CP credential preferred.

Salary: $52,000- $57,000

Full time hours: 9am-5pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
