Location: Remote
Work Schedule: This is a year-round internship (Fall 2023-Fall 2024) and we require at least 20 hours per week during core business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm).
At TDS, our interns are our future. We are seeking a Talent Development Intern (Remote) to join us! In this exciting internship opportunity, you'll partner with our Talent Development team. You will split your time working with our Organizational Development and Instructional Design and Development teams. Together, these teams create learning and development opportunities for TDS Telecom associates at all levels, improving associate and leader performance, and driving better business outcomes.

This group’s purpose is to support you by providing extra resources for development, opportunities for internal advancement, and forums to connect with other interns throughout the company. ERG meets once per month to allow you to hear from other interns about their projects, as well as leaders within our organization about their team. They host networking events to grow your connections within the organization with the goal of finding full-time employment by your graduation.
The compensation for this position is $17.00 an hour.

Responsibilities:
In your work with the Instructional Design and Development team, you'll have opportunities like these:

Assist the team with planning and creating effective learning experiences for our associates.

Testing and proofreading learning deliverables

Ability to learn about and use Instructional Design tools, and processes

Observe and assist with stakeholder management through needs assessment and project management

Hands on learning with script building, content outlines, and storyboards.
In your work with the Organizational Development team, you'll have opportunities like these:

Assist with developing curriculum's, courses, tools, and job aids for broad associate development

Assist in creation and delivery of a comprehensive leadership development road-map and related programming

Develop and provide information, tools, and resources for topics like professional development planning and career pathing to reinforce a learning and development culture
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
-
2+ semesters of completed college coursework
-
2+ years' experience using a PC with various software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word
-
Experience or interest in using authoring and editing tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Audition, Adobe Creative Cloud applications or similar tools).
Other Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail, including proofreading and technology testing skills

Ability to work at least 20 hours per week
Benefits
Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits such as vacation (15 days accrued per year for full-time; pro-rated for part-time associates working between 20-39 hours), sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), seven paid national holidays and one floating holiday, paid parental leave (2 weeks after 12 months of employment), among others. Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability coverage is also available for associates working 30 or more hours per week and Education Assistance is available to full-time associates. Associates scheduled to work under twenty hours per week or for a limited term (i.e. interns) are eligible for medical coverage, the 401(k) plan (if 18 or older), as well as sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates).
