AWS Cloud Architect

An AWS Cloud Architect at our company is primarily responsible for designing and implementing effective cloud architectures on AWS. This encompasses utilizing analytical skills to decide on architectural solutions, justifying those decisions to the Architecture Review Board, and collaborating with various teams like Infra, Data Lake, MFT, and Security. A hands-on approach with coding in Python and managing file processing functionalities on AWS will also be part of the role.

To qualify for the AWS Cloud Architect role, candidates must have significant experience with AWS and Python development. Knowledge of PEARL is essential, while knowledge of the insurance domain, .NET coding, and SQL Server expertise are highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate across different teams are also crucial for success in this position.

While experience in the insurance domain is preferred for the AWS Cloud Architect position, it is not strictly mandatory. What’s most important is a solid understanding of AWS architecture and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Potential candidates should focus on showcasing their cloud expertise and coding skills in Python and PEARL.

An AWS Cloud Architect should be proficient in Python, as it is a must-have for the role. Familiarity with PEARL is critical, along with a basic understanding of .NET coding. SQL Server knowledge would be beneficial as well.
