At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.Job OverviewInorganic growth is a key lever of value creation for TE Connectivity and the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team is a high impact group that interfaces with all of TE’s business units and functions. As a member of the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team, you will assist in the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic transactions, along with selected strategic divestitures. TE’s diversified end markets and platform acquisitions provide a large hunting ground for M&A, and TE expects to invest a significant portion of its Free Cash Flow in inorganic growth. Over the past decade, TE Connectivity has deployed over $6 billion of capital by way of Mergers & Acquisitions. Recent acquisitions include the purchases of Schaffner, Kries, Linx Technologies, Kemtron, Erni, and Laird Antenna.• Assist in the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic acquisitions and divestitures• Assist M&A pipeline building processes by screening/identifying potential targets, creating/updating profiles and tracking progress• Develop valuation (Discount Cash Flow, Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions), investment return (IRR, ROIC, Payback), and pro forma analytics of potential target companies• Assist in the construction of presentations highlighting the strategic and financial rationale, along with the associated risks, of deals for review by Executive Management and the Board of Directors• Facilitate acquisition and divestiture processes by working with cross-functional teams in all phases of the process, managing virtual data rooms and organizing diligence sessions• Assist in managing relationships with investment banks and other external sources of deal flowWhat your background should look like:• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis and modeling, with a preference for transactional experience at an investment bank, top tier accounting firm, corporate development group, or valuation services provider• Bachelors degree required; specialization in finance, accounting or a related field preferred• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple key workstreams of complex projects• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint• High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work product• Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skillsCompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkABOUT TE CONNECTIVITYTE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
