At Koa Health, we believe in putting people (and their mental health) first. So we've made it our goal to leverage technology and research to enable people to change their behaviors with effective and accessible support that adapts to their unique circumstances. Having secured a successful and oversubscribed Series A funding totaling €30m (ca.$36M) in October 2020 and currently preparing for Series B round of investment, we are continuing on a steady path to grow our global team. Read more about our story here.
Against the backdrop of decades of rising demand, mental health has never been more important. The Covid pandemic has led to a 4x increase in mental disorders around the world. With no increase in the supply of clinicians, tens of millions of people are stranded today without access to care. There has never been a more critical moment for the work that we're leading at Koa Health. And this is where you come in.
Your New Role
We are looking for a talented Technical Architect based in or around the US, who is able to accelerate the efforts of the US commercial team to engage, onboard and support our customers as Koa expands its base in that country.
This role requires a multi-disciplinary, self-starter comfortable with a variety of environments and contexts across the operational and development areas typical of a startup. This is a highly visible role, requiring extensive collaboration and partnership internally and externally to deliver solutions on the latest technology stacks. The primary role of this position is to identify the ways to best support the commercial and customer success teams, which will involve creating and operating applications in secure, privacy-compliant, cloud-native services, trouble-shooting, and quick turnaround on operational issues. As this is the first member of a new team to provide support through the pre-sales and onboarding of major clients, this leader should have an excellent digital platform foundation to be able to scale services from PaaS providers, and the passion to work in a regulated healthcare environment. Your work will bring a direct positive impact to people's lives.
The purpose of Koa Health is to develop products that are truly effective in delivering high quality, digital mental health care; we want to work with like-minded people who can help us achieve our goal to create the most widely used products in this space. You will help us deliver rigorous, evidence based digital therapies that combine the very best of medical device quality and safety with consumer application best practice.

- Providing direction on other teams' efforts to support this space, including Security, DevOps, regulatory compliance, scalability, costing, resourcing and more.
You will have a proven track record of delivering against the above goals, with the desire to build a best-of-breed architecture capability.
