Activision Central Tech works to support our development studios and their titles. Comprising of seven main teams, we have many specialties including data, privacy and security, motion capture and animation pipeline technologies, graphics, build and infrastructure for studio development and data centers, optimization, systems programming and online services including matchmaking and networking. We are distributed globally with offices across the U.S., and in Canada, England, Ireland and Japan.

Most of our teams are composed of both engineering and research talent, allowing us to always have an eye on the future. Our engineers help with title development and provide valuable collaboration between studios while our researchers are forward thinking and keep a strong connection with the needs of the game studios.

Your Mission

We are looking for Technical Producers to join Activision Publishing’s (AP) Central Technology (CT) organization. Activision’s CT organization provides global leadership, engineering support, analysis, and recommendations across various specialized fields for AP’s studios and projects.

The Technical Producer will lead on project managing, scheduling, and communication with team members. In this role, there will be a focus on technical requirements and delivery on features. This role will be instrumental in the transformation of the Call of Duty franchise and will provide the technical production management and oversight vital to coordinate the work of many teams across distinct studios and geographies.

Responsibilities include:
  • Establish relationships and lines of communication with production personnel.
  • Build shared technical roadmaps across studios for each of the core technology fields with agreement from studio and CT engineering leadership and production. This may involve establishing new processes and frameworks in an organization that may have operated with a different model.
  • Collaborate with internal resourcing teams to ensure adequate staffing to meet technology roadmaps.
  • Help enhance the structure and communications within our core technology development teams to increase efficiency.
  • Ability to deliver on set goals as determined by leadership partners.

Player Profile:

Communication & Connection

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead multiple teams with sometimes divergent requirements along different timelines.
  • Comfortable with building trust in a large organization with many independent functional units.
  • Understanding of the technical process of software development.

Production & Project Management
  • Production or other project management background, preferably in the games space or other software-forward environment.
  • Skilled with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and communication infrastructure such as Slack and Miro.
  • A track record of helping ship software products in a timely manner or in rapid development cycles.
  • Build regular reports of key actions and risks at different levels of detail.
  • Successful project planning leading completion and the timely delivery of quality projects.

Extra Points!
  • Experience working on AAA and or first person shooter games.
  • A technical degree or similar experience is a plus.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $92,920.00 - $171,814.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
