Job Highlights

  • Provide technical support in different forums including email, visits, meetings, Microsoft Teams, exhibitions or trade shows, etc. with a sense of urgency, e.g., information, advice, solutions to problems to end users but also guiding internal or external stakeholders through a technical solution generating sustainable and meaningful sales opportunities for the Business Unit (BU) Lubricant Additives Business (LAB), especially but not exclusively in Industrial Additives.
  • Create and develop solutions with existing or new products for existing and new applications or new product ideas for the Americas market, as well as support on a technical level for the needs of customers; while working jointly with customers, product management, account managers, business development and technical teams for the best outcomes.
  • Perform technical trials at existing and new accounts to generate new sales revenue coaching the customer with applications, formulation and testing guidance.
  • Assist in formulation and implementation of long and short term strategic sales plans for assigned accounts within the territory.
  • Build and maintain and develop trustful and reliable relationships with all channels, customers and distributors.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, MBA or another closely related advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous Industrial lubricant and metalworking fluids formulation and/or application experience; and knowledge of lubricant additive chemistries.
  • Industrial lubricant and metalworking expertise with additives and formulations
  • Successful track record of qualifying prospects, selling value and closing targets with experience in the chemical industry.
  • Excellent people management, influencing, relationship, team building and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate individuals’ motivations and reactions.
  • Ability to manage complexity to favorable outcomes.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Candidate may work in a hybrid setting in Naugatuck, Connecticut or Fully Remote in the USA.
