About the team

Chronosphere University is looking for an experienced Technical Trainer who enjoys being a subject matter expert in a high touch customer facing role. As a Technical Enablement Architect, you will tell a compelling story about observability of complex microservice architectures. You are eager to make a big impact in a small and growing education team of trainers and curriculum developers.


In This Role You Will


  • Create, deliver, and maintain technical course content at a variety of skill levels and personas. Content includes self-paced and instructor-led courseware, lab environments, videos, webinars.
  • Become a subject matter expert for several products and stay up to date on release changes. Answer technical questions from customers during live instruction and office hours.
  • Perform and manage QA and feedback of content, including technical labs and workshops.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams including customer success, sales, documentation, internal enablement, community, product, and marketing.
  • Bring all the diverse and great aspects of your authentic self to work every day.

You Must Have


  • 4+ years experience in a role building and delivering technical course content.
  • Working knowledge of software development, Observability, or DevOps practices.
  • Proficient in different training delivery methods such as self-paced, virtual, and in-person training.
  • Experience presenting highly technical information to very knowledgeable audiences in a fun and engaging way.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-moving startup environment where change is constant.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills that you consistently apply in an empathetic manner.
  • Technical understanding and experience with one or more of the following technologies or something similar.
    • Kubernetes
    • Prometheus or Graphite
    • OpenTelemetry
    • Terraform

Nice to Have


  • Experience as a trainer in a SaaS environment.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Cloud Certification(s).
  • Experience working as a field consultant.
  • Experience working with LMS, CMS, and tools like Captivate or Camtasia.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.

What you will achieve


In your first 30 days, you will work closely with the Education Program Lead to build new self-paced course content. You'll learn about our product, our customers, and our Customer Success program, and support the launch of Chronosphere University.


After 30 days, you will start to take ownership of course content, and work with other teams to keep content up-to-date. You'll assist in instructor-led training, webinars, and office hours.


After 90 days you will be delivering instructor-led training as a main instructor and proposing new courseware, labs, and workshops.
