SUMMARY OF POSITION 

The Technology Manager is a skilled and versatile solutions expert. This role is responsible for assessing, planning, building, supporting and executing the integration of technology for great consumer and brand experiences including but not limited to; building networks, working with ISP’s and existing network infrastructure, identifying software and hardware needs, vetting and managing vendors, remote studio and video production, excellent project management, virtual platform buildout and management, in person and virtual event technology troubleshooting. 

This solutions-oriented candidate plays a vital role in the success of our events and will work very closely with Account, Production, and Creative leads to drive the lifecycle of a project.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Manage and lead a team of A/V professionals for live productions, including in-person and remote multi-camera productions, complex live streams, webcasts, webinars, live keynotes. 
  • Management and creation of online based events using single or multiple (simultaneous) distribution platforms. This includes managing concurrent workstreams with both technical and design teams on the creation of the event within the desired platform(s).
  • Create and manage master project plan including event timeline and overall program/show agenda(s).
  •  Support video capture for camera, framing, lighting, audio quality via live or stream and mentor project team members on best practices.
  • Manage content creation and build live stream fly kits and mobile studio kits (hardware/software).  
  • Managing CDN vendors (Content delivery networks), video encoding and video packaging.  ]
  • Build technical workflows in collaboration with the Technical Director and the Senior Technology team, including defining requirements and managing project development through numerous presentation and approval cycles 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES  

  • Proven attention to details and timely follow-up 
  • Complete understanding of the video production workflow up to and including signal paths development and management, communications, audio, video capture 
  • Solutions orientated researcher with a hands-on approach to exploring web tools, creative technology, software, hardware solutions
  • Ability to incorporate emerging trends in live streaming and social media 
  • Skilled in balancing multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience or knowledge of MDM’s
  • Ability to collaborate across departments including account, production, and creative teams)  

OTHER QUALITIES AND SKILLS 

  • Ability to thrive in and enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative, work environment.  
  • High energy and flexibility in working non-traditional hours as needed (some nights and weekends). 
  • Strong work ethic, integrity and positive attitude.  
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stay on your feet for extended period. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time following CDC, federal, state, and local guidelines. 

EDUCATION 

Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Film, Marketing, Digital Innovation, Broadcast Production, Electronic Media, Audio-Visual Technology, or related trade or technical support experience equivalent work experience will be considered.  

EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with management and oversight of online and in-person interactive technology and video production projects.
