Merchandising Intern - Internal Opportunity

Tecovas is looking for an Allocation intern to support allocation tasks and contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects while working in a highly collaborative and cross-functional corporate setting.   Reporting directly to the Allocation Manager, you will develop skills in inventory management, data analysis, project management and problem-solving. Additionally, you gain practical experience in retail operations and supply chain optimization.

What you’ll do:

• Assist and support with inventory allocation tasks and projects
• Build store-level analysis tools for reporting
• Explore opportunities for process improvement with our 3PL to expedite product delivery to stores
• Analyze selling data to optimize inventory availability
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop pre-pack shipping options
• Create an allocation hindsight form to refine allocation strategies
• Complete and present a final internship project that applies your learnings from your internship and provides value to the company 

What we’re looking for:

• Current and active Tecovas employee
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university
• Majoring in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics or related field
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Eager to learn and take initiative
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
