Position Summary
The Business Development Director is responsible for developing and executing the Paradigm Enterprises sales strategy in alignment with short-term and long-term business plans. The Business Development Director will build relationships with target customers to grow the Paradigm Enterprises project pipeline. The position will report directly to the Vice President & General Manager of Paradigm Enterprises.

Essential Functions Statement(s):
- Assist in development of the Paradigm annual and five-year sales strategy.
- Builds long-term relationships with target customer personnel to support sales strategy.
- Builds formal and informal networks to provide insight and knowledge of future project opportunities.
- Attends customer lead, BPI sponsored, and industry specific events to promote Paradigm.
- Establishes relationship and maintains interface with customer during initial phases of Paradigm projects to ensure customer satisfaction; escalates concerns to senior leadership.
- Regularly reports on the status of the Paradigm call plan and overall sales strategy
- Actively maintains the opportunity pipeline within Microsoft Dynamics.
- Partners with corporate resources to review market data and information as it relates to Paradigm’s sales strategy; utilizes data for improvements to Paradigm’s sales strategy.
- Monitors customer behaviors and key competitor activities; advises senior management on business initiatives and changes to keep Paradigm competitive.
- Manages sales pipeline for Paradigm including opportunities, bids, proposals; provides input to senior management on pipeline status and business impact.
- Partners with BPI marketing department to create literature and materials to promote Paradigm.
Position Qualifications
- Understanding of substation construction projects and the overall power delivery market
- Knowledge of substations, switchyards, transmission lines, and associated equipment
- Knowledge of power delivery market trends and growth strategies
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; capable of adjusting priorities
- Proven track record of developing customer relationships and closing deals
- Ability to create and maintain sales metrics
- Ability to use Microsoft Dynamics as a CRM
Education and Experience
- B.S. in Construction Management, any Engineering discipline, Business Management, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years in power delivery business development
- Prior project management experience preferred

Final offers may vary based on multiple factors, including; education, depth and relevance of work experience, relevant licenses and certifications, and may vary from the amounts listed in the job posting.
The base pay range for this Director, Business Development is $165,000-$180,000.
