Description:Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact of a patient in the clinic facility. Among the duties include the checking-in and out of a patient, gathering a patient's information for the Doctors and Nurses to use, and processes insurance billing and verifications. Collecting of Co-pay and provide strong in person customer service while handling inbound patient phone calls.Key Responsibilities:• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments as required by insurance companies, ensuring timely approval to avoid delays in patient care.• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any issues related to coverage, claims, and authorizations.• Accurately document all insurance verification and prior authorization activities in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) system.• Inform patients about their insurance coverage, co-pays, and any out-of-pocket expenses they may incur.
