Spanish Translator - Technical writing / narrationHybrid Appleton, Wisconsin or Vernon Hill, Illinois -once a week40 hours a week1 step interview processOur customer is seeking a highly skilled Spanish Translator with experience in translating and narrating technical content. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating technical materials from English to Spanish and providing professional narration for e-learning courses. Proficiency in various Microsoft products and authoring tools is required to place translated content in the company’s authoring tools.Key Responsibilities:• Translate technical collision content from English to Spanish, ensuring accuracy and industry relevance.• Provide clear, professional voice narration in Spanish for e-learning modules and instructional videos.• Upload and organize translated content in the company’s authoring tools, such as Storyline and Captivate.• Conduct functionality testing on Spanish and English courses.• Perform daily project tracking.• Follow detailed SOPs.• Collaborate with the content development team to ensure translated materials align with instructional design standards and meet quality requirements.• Edit and format documents using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to prepare them for translation and narration.• Use Adobe Acrobat to review and edit PDFs, ensuring accurate translation and formatting.• Ensure all translations are technically accurate, error-free, and completed in a timely manner in accordance with the approved style guide and SOPs.• Travel to collision industry events/meetings.• Participate in professional development seminars/conferences.Qualifications:• At least 3-5 years of professional experience translating technical content, including documents, manuals, reports, and other technical materials.• Bachelor's Degree• Ability to travel to either our client’s Tech Center in Appleton, WI, or Vernon Hills, IL, a few times a month to record narrations.• Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.• Strong technical translation experience, preferably in the collision repair or automotive industry.• Professional voice-over or narration experience in Spanish, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and confidently.• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat for document editing and formatting.• Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Storyline and Captivate.• Strong attention to detail, especially in technical content translation and audio recording.• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Skills:• Translation• Manual testing• Bilingual• Narration• Quality assurance testing• Project management• Auto industry• Collision repair• Articulate Storyline• Adobe CaptivateEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
