If you are passionate about developing your career, come join our team!Job SummaryIn this role, you will oversee and fully own task allocation for your team of Underwriting Assistants and Sr. Underwriting Assistants. You will play a key role in ensuring business needs are met daily by leading your team in maintaining efficient underwriting processes and providing excellent customer service to our clients.Requirements• Previous managerial experience is required.• Proven administrative experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sectors.• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline• Knowledge of underwriting processes and systems• Aptitude skills: capable of learning new skills quickly, adapt to system and/or process changes seamlessly, ability to think of creative solutions for complex problems• Interpersonal skills: ability to influence others, client and broker management skills, purposeful communication, flexibility, active listening.Key Responsibilities• Ensure SLAS are consistently met by your team and any performance issues are appropriately recognized, challenged, and resolved• Own the team workflow tool, ensuring data is present, accurate and reliable• Serve as a subject matter expert on process changes and system initiatives within product area(s) including serving on system user groups• Maintain and develop key relationship with internal and external stakeholders, responding to queries in an accurate and timely fashion• Help maintain team standards through supporting other team members in achieving their service/quality levels and targets as needed• Craft professional development plans for all members of your team, helping develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities to create a high-performing teamDetails• Hybrid schedule: 2 days in-office, 3 days work from home• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 5:00pm EST (37.5 hours per week)• Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/yr. based on related experience.• Direct hire, permanent position.• Applicants can sit out of West Hartford, CT or Atlanta, GA office.Added Benefits• Attractive base compensation plus discretionary performance related bonus• Competitively priced medical, dental and vision insurance• Company paid life, and short- and long-term disability insurance• 401(k) plan with 5% company match and immediate vesting• 22 days PTO (prorated for 1st calendar year of employment), 11 paid holidays per year, with the ability to flex the religious bank holidays to suit your religious beliefs• Up to $700 reimbursement for home office setup• Free in-office lunch, travel reimbursement for travel to office, and monthly lifestyle allowance• Six months fully paid parental leave• Company paid sabbatical up to 12 weeks after 10 years of continued service• Up to 2.5 days paid annually for volunteering at a charity of your choice• Flexible working policy, trusting our employees to do what works best for them and their teamsAbout TEKsystemsWe're partners in transformation.
