DescriptionThis role will be supporting the CX organization at a world-class IT enterprise. This team is growing substantially and they are adding to their team! Their designers work across several different products. Some examples would be, HMI, Mobile, Web, Connected & other in-vehicle experience products (think in the touchscreen), voice integration, Electric, etc. Potential candidates should come from a digital background and have experience and interest in supporting mostly B2C projects. This is an exciting area within this company that has a-lot of opportunity for designers who are looking for a challenge and environment that offers a variety of projects!The initial product they will be aligned to is the Commercial platform. They recently acquired their subsidiary and the platform merged with their Fleet management product. This person will be the champion for helping revamp their design system for this product and helping to build out a brand identity. There is a heavy focus on the commercial customer and creating a better experience!We’re looking for a visionary Visual Designers to help us set strategic design direction and craft products that go beyond meeting basic expectations to create unique, pure, and emotional experiences. With a persistent focus on our customers, you will serve as the driving force behind creating meaningful connections with our customers through thoughtful design that’s looks amazing.Responsibilities• Provide design leadership through influence, judgment, communication, and collaboration to drive design decisions across stakeholder groups• Collaborate closely with team members to craft a world-class user experience across all our products and platforms, being the champion of aesthetics and visual design principles• Create design deliverables to communicate your work including sketches, drawings, diagrams, wireframes, mockups, animations, mood boards, and storyboards• Conduct design critiques to guide design decisions• Contribute to the continued evolution of the team’s workflows and processes to further improve quality and performance• Mentor/develop talent and a design thinking culture• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to solve problems effectivelyRequirements• 5+ years of experience creating user interfaces, digital products, or complex software applications across a range of channels• Formal degree or equivalent experience in Visual Design, Product Design, Interaction Design or related• Strong portfolio with work samples showcasing expertise in user interface design, craft, aesthetics, and depth of thought• Open to feedback, knows how give and receive criticism, and how and when to defend design decisions• Demonstrated experience in developing dynamic presentations in support of design strategy• Experience working with research teams and applying insights into quick, iterative design improvements.• Strong visual communication skills• Develop/mentor junior talent within the team• Proficient in common design tools like Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Proto.ioPreferred Qualifications• Ability to create across a wide range of digital media (3D, 2D, animation)• Deep understanding of automotive competitive landscape• Ability to identify and apply technology to achieve design goals• Prototyping experience (software and/or hardware development experience a plus)Top Skills DetailsVisual design, Ui design, Product design, Figma, Design systemAdditional Skills & QualificationsFrom the Manager:Here are some key items we are looking for when we review UI portfolios:• Work shows how they can bring the product experiences to life with visual design (style, typography, balance, interaction, accessibility considerations, etc).• We also like seeing work examples that are somewhat relevant to the digital products we work on and/or showcase the designers abilities (showing us how their designs translate across channels, like web and mobile, is a plus).• Showcased work should look polished and looks production-ready (no tiny or low-res images, we need to see the work..)• Designs clearly communicates their aesthetic choices and understanding of visual hierarchy (layouts are balanced, white space vs. content feels appropriate, etc.)• Designs should demonstrate the ability to design for accessible, user-centered experiences (text is legible, design choices help the user find what they need, etc.)• Portfolios should also have a strong presentation layer that is clearly organized and easy to navigate (links that don’t work, pdf downloads, messy presentation, etc. all detract)Experience LevelExpert LevelAbout TEKsystemsWe're partners in transformation.
