Software Engineer (Backend)

Who We Are:
Telcoin is a consumer finance company focused on providing customers with high quality, low cost financial services, starting with faster, more affordable, fully digital cross border remittances. We are a team of telecom executives, startup veterans, finance professionals, all-star developers and blockchain specialists looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) to serve as a core contributor to the backend development of Telcoin’s existing core remittance platform and digital wallet.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the backend development of Telcoin’s existing core remittance platform and digital wallet.
Contribute to the solution’s end-to-end architecture (primarily involving Rust development)
Interface with blockchain, UI, Android, iOS, and partner API integrations.
Integrate external, third party financial systems and/or banks into the Telcoin platform.

Required Experience:

4+ years of production experience in Rust, C++, Go or another strongly typed language
Proficiency with Rust programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms preferred
Experience with SQL and its variation among popular databases
Strong ability to meet project milestones and ability to work with teams in different time zones
Translating software requirements into stable, working, high-performing software
Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
Good written and oral communication skills
