Description

Position Purpose:
As a Telemarketing Associate you will be responsible for selling insurance products through telemarketing strategies, by communicating via phone (inbound calls). In this role, the ideal candidate is expected to handle at minimum 3 inbound calls per hour to achieve departmental standards.
Logistics:
This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Sunday - Saturday working various shifts between 8am – 8pm. If you are within 30 miles of 4101 Percival Rd. Columbia SC, you will be expected to report onsite. If you are more than 30 miles away, you will have the opportunity to work remote within the United States.
What You’ll Do:
  • Places and answers (inbound and outbound) telephone calls from/to potential customers, Assists with decisions regarding plans and products.
  • Follows up/through on leads provided.
  • Generates letters to prospective customers. Processes applications and prepares marketing/information packets.
To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of word processing software.
  • Good judgment skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 90 days of hire in state employed.
  • American Health Insurance Professionals Certification for Medicare within 90 days of hire.
We Prefer That You Have:
  • Certified American Health Insurance Professional for Medicare
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet/database software.
