Job Purpose:
This role will work with Head of Commercial Strategy & Planning in communicating and implementing strategies to achieve commercial objectives across Product and Marketing divisions. The- role involves leveraging strategic insights, preparing global benchmarks, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. Additionally, the individual will monitor commercial progress and recommend necessary interventions to ensure alignment with commercial goals.
Job responsibilities:
Drive strategic planning activities; brainstorming, outlining possible options, goal setting, activity planning, assign supports, foster accountability
Execute the commercial strategic planning roadmap across Product and Marketing divisions and leadership forums
Encourage collaboration & innovation while maintaining control over the execution process
Analyze the status of strategic goals correlating with commercial must win battles & manage the progress
Analyze customer segmentations, marketing efforts, and campaigns to generate actionable recommendations for improvements aimed at achieving strategic goals.
Highlight roadblocks when they arise, identify intervention options, and facilitate execution including persuasion of data sources & insights needed.
Regular market visit to capture customer & competition insights after strategy execution
Conduct periodic industry trend analysis, competitive benchmarking & provide recommendations to ensure the company remains competitive
Perform periodic SWOT analysis for the company and commercial to assess their positions relative to strategic objectives and identify any necessary adjustments to strategic goals
Keep close watch on the global and local trends in technology and consumer behavior and raise risks and opportunities
Research and analyze successful and innovative business and marketing strategies from global industry practices
Develop periodic global benchmarks and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making, foster innovation & adaptation, and drive continuous improvement.
Commercial strategy communication planning & execution across Product & Marketing divisions
Ensure highest clarity & alignment of strategic goals and individual responsibility across commercial value chain and relevant cross-divisional shareholders
Facilitate feedback loops to capture employee pulse on the strategy and its effectiveness, driving continuous improvement and engagement.
Education and Experience:
Graduate from a reputed University in business, finance, or economics
Project management/ Agile certification will be an advantage
4 years+ experience in greater Commercial / Finance
Understanding business strategy development
Marketplace knowledge & insight
Experience in conducting analysis using dataset will be an advantage
Understanding of telco-digital product, product lifecycle & GTM management, existing technology capabilities and future requirements preferred
Understanding of competition landscape, regulatory environment, consumer insight, industry & global benchmarking preffered
