Assessor Reviewer

The Assessor Reviewer is responsible for conducting assessments for persons with disabilities.  Assessments are primarily conducted face-to-face with the occasional virtual assessment.  Assessor Reviewers also may complete review decisions regarding services needed to be successful in the community.   


Assessments are submitted within 1-2 days of the interview to allow for quality review before submission to the client by the deadline. QA checks are conducted on all assessments.


We are only considering candidates in the following Maryland counties:

Prince George’s County

Anne Arundel County

Queen Anne’s County

Frederick County

Washington County

Carroll County


Essential Functions
  • Performs face-to-face and/or virtual assessments of persons with disabilities.
  • Some contracts may require collaborating with healthcare providers and ancillary service providers to create or validate the appropriate treatment plan.
  • Documents assessment results for the individual member status or negotiates service plan as needed.
  • Provides ongoing education. May communicate with all health care providers to ensure appropriateness of care.


Requirements
  • Two or four-year degree in a health care or related field
  • Required to pass and maintain a SIS certification (Telligen will provide)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Reliable transportation and proficiency in written and spoken English are essential.
  • Experience in human services with the ID/DD population is strongly preferred
  • Experience with assessments is a plus but not required
  • Must reside in one of the following Maryland counties: Prince George’s County, Anne Arundel County, Queen Anne’s County, Frederick County, Washington County, Carroll County
